EEKEEZ!!

I am a collector. Not like hoarder collector but collector of figures, some plushies and such. My husband is a collector of transformers. A few weeks back when we where in Arizona we found ourselves in one of our favorite stores, Collectors Marketplace! While browsing through the huge assortment of collectibles is tumbled across something I had not seen before.

EEKEEZ, they are similar to Pop in some ways but very different! They are resin and not vinyl, and well they look like tiki figures! They are pretty awesome! I think the fact that they look like tiki figures is what makes them the coolest!
So naturally I wanted to tell all of my readers and followers about these cool little dudes! So I partnered with FOCO  to be able to show you them. I opened all of them except for the Batman because he is con exclusive! I love that they are hand crafted and they have the realistic wood carving! While I love batman, by far my favorite is the Arnold Figure. I loved Hey Arnold growing up! Next to rugrats it was most def. in the top 10 favorite shows! They are slightly heavier than a vinyl but the intricate detail on them is amazing! Why dont you head on over and get yourself a Reptar or a Gir!

And if you are a sports fan, Foco has EEKEEZ in sports players and Mascots too! Check out all of their EEKEEZ Figures here!!

** This is not a paid review, This is simply my honest and unbiased opinion!

30 day blog challenge: Day 11

Well here I am seven days behind on this blog challenge. Life has gotten the better of me and taken me by storm and now this is where I am at!

Day 11 is my Favorite Book. I have a few of them but my favorite one that I could read over and over is the Heart of a Soldier by Captain Kate Blaise. Break out the tissues for this one. It is a captivating heart breaker. It is a true story about Kate and her husband. It tells of when they met in High School and how they fell in love. They went through the ins and outs of life and they both joined the military. They both where enlisted when the world was taken by storm on September 11, 2001. They deployed together and they Kate learns about the ultimate sacrifice. Kate keeps you captivated from the first page to the last! This book is one you cant put down.

I highly recommend reading this just once!

30 day blog challenge: day 10

As per normal before we get started I am going to direct you to the creator of this challenge. Cha at https://littlemisadvencha.com/

Day 10. Best lesson so far in 2020.

Nothing and I MEAN NOTHING goes as planned! I once heard something somewhere...

If you want to hear God laugh, Tell him your plans. This is so true. I had a plan for 2020. I was going to have our baby in February. He was going to be a girl. I was going to have a natural labor... or at least hold out as long as I could before having an epidural. My labor was going to be an easy one because I had already gone through this so I knew what to expect. I was going to breast feed because my family is not eligible for things like WIC and formula is god awfully expensive. When Baby was two weeks old We where going to travel to Arizona and spend two weeks with my family. We had tickets to the Renaissance Festival, Medieval Times and Jurassic Quest... all of which where for my blog! We had planned a whole 50th anniversary for my grandparents and my baby shower is supposed to follow suit the next day.

Well Just that happened. I told God my plans and he laughed and he laughed hard! We did have our baby Boy ( certainly not a girl) in February. My labor was induced, after two weeks of painful latent labor. I had an epidural 2 hours after they started my pitocin. My Labor was anything but easy. In fact it was terrifying. Between not being able to properly monitor me or baby for hours and then after two weeks of being at 5 cm we assumed it would be hours before he got here. Then within 1 hour I went from a 5 to a 10. boom he was there. Breast feeding did not go as planned ( so here we are 2 months later solely bottle and formula feeding). then goes the travel plans. We made it to Arizona without a hitch. Two days after we got there we got the word that all Restaurants where going to be closed for dine in... That means Medieval Times was out of the plans. Then slowly but surely The Ren. Festival and Jurassic Quest went away too. Then the plans for my grandparents 50th changed ( we still had a party just not as big) and then my baby shower didn't quite go as planned.  But in all honesty Things happen. I know that God had alternative plans, and that is okay. My flight got delayed by 1 extra day so I got a little more time with my family! all in all My year has been eventful and I am okay with it. I am learning that Nothing goes as planned and that is okay!

I hope to see you back for day 11!

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 9

Go check out Cha at https://littlemisadvencha.com/ and get started on the 30 day blog challenge!!

Day 9, Share a childhood memory.

hmmm there are a lot of them. so I want to share a few. all of them with my parents. In this life I have been blessed with My Grandparents (my moms parents are like my own)  My mom, dad and step dad. Each one I share a special bond with.

My mom and step dad. they met when I was 7 or 8. possibly 9 but I am not totally sure. They married when I was 11. My fondest memory  of both of them from when I was a kid where the frequent trips to Sedona, The Grand Canyon, Camping and trips to the river. It seemed like we where doing one of those trips every weekend. We probably where. My mom and step dad instilled this sense of adventure in me. I still love it. I especially love sharing it with my kids. I am still making these kind of memories with my mom. Like when we went to find snow in January 2015 and she found out I was pregnant. It was not the way I wanted to tell her but it sure was memorable! Unfortunately my step dad has since passed on but without him I would not know how to fish or roll a sleeping bag for that matter. So now those things he taught me as a kid I will take and pass down to my kids.

Next my dad. My mom and him split when I was 4. Its okay though I think they are much better not together. My sister and I would spend the weekends with him. We went to the movies at the dollar theaters, the local swap meet ( I was pretty bummed when they closed it down in my teen years ) and McDonalds. We still make a lot of memories ( I see him at least once a year, rather he comes here to Idaho or I go to Arizona). But these memories are the ones I hold dearest to my heart.

My Grandparents. They are a godsend. they have  given me so many memories. From decorating cookies with my grandma to my first baseball game with my grandpa. They took us camping when we where kids ( actually I think they where the first to take me camping). My fondest with them are the motorcycle rides! My sister and I grew up on Motorcycles because my grandparents rode. They are the reason I have the love for them that I do today. We went on Toy Runs with them and Monthly Breakfasts with their club. These memories with them are so vivid. We went on these rides and breakfasts until I was in my early teens. I miss the rides with them so much. I am so blessed to still have my grandparents in my life today.

these are my memories, I hope you enjoyed!

30 day blog challenge: Day 8

Day 8 makes for 5 current goals. Also do not forget to check out Cha and her 30 day challenge at https://littlemisadvencha.com/ .

So... five current goals.

1. Pay down my debts. So as someone who has survived bankruptcy I would like to maintain my payment plans and not have anything go to collections. Now granted my husband and I are not drowning but having a new baby we have some new bills. YAY! So we have been setting everything on payment plans and we are doing very well on paying them back. We will get there. One day at a time

2. Survive my first baby starting kindergarten. This one is a biggen... I am not ready for my baby to be in school.. but at the same time I am so ready to see how he puts his brains to work. We have come such a long way from that adorable little human on his first week of preschool to Kindergarten. I am just amazed at the little human he is turning into!!

3. save some money. My next goal is for me and my husband to start saving money.

4. Get a house. We want to get into a home of our own. One where we do not have to ask our landlord if we want to hang a bar in our laundry room to hand air dry clothing.... One day we shall get there. Until then we will dream and plan! I only have like 500 of them!

5. Start school for me. I would like to go back to school and Well since starting this challenge I did not realize how badly I wanted to go back. One day I will!

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 7

Day 7: Five Favorite Songs

Before we gab about my five favorite songs, you have to go check out Cha at https://littlemisadvencha.com/ . As she is the blogger that started this whole challenge!

This one would seem so simple, but it really is not. I have so many favorite songs!

As with most of my life there is no specific order of songs because I can not give rank to things like this!

1. Bitch- Meredith Brooks  This song has only rang more true with me as life has gone on. I am all of these things and that is okay. I own it. you can hear it for yourself by clicking the title above. I think almost all women can relate to it.

2. Die a Happy Man - Thomas Rhett  This song is at the top of my favorites because it is mine and my husbands. I still remember the night he came home ( when we where still newish in the relationship) He came home after a long day at work and school and he was so excited. He goes " I heard a new song and I thought of you." He had this huge grin on his face. He pulled it up on his phone and we listened to it. We barely got through the first chorus and our arms where wrapped around one another and we swayed together there listening to this song. This is the one and only time to this day ( six years later) that we have danced. So this song is special to me.

3. You are my sunshine - Johnny Cash Version This one is one that my mom always sang to my sister when we where kids. She still does to this day. Now it is one I always sing to my babies. It always evokes a lot of emotion when I listen to it. I specifically love the Johnny Cash Version because I love Johnny Cash. Some people are Elvis fans, some are partial to The Beetles. I just LOVE Johnny Cash.

4. I think about you - Collin Raye  This has always been one of my favorites since I was a child. My mom would always tell me it was written about me. Since then it has always earned a special place in my heart.

5. Amazing Grace - Andrea Bocelli  This one always hits me right in the feels. The song itself is enough to make me cry. But his voice is just so earth shaking! So it really takes my breath away!

Well those are 5 favorites!

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 6

Day Six of the 30 day blog challenge. Remember to go check out https://littlemisadvencha.com/ and follow Cha on her 30 day blog challenge!

Day 6: What are you afraid of?

Oh man this is a loaded question, and while I am afraid of spiders I am not going to go into depth on that. I am going to dig deeper. My fears are all over the place. I have anxiety. So most of them are irrational and likely improbable but hey they are still my fears. So after much thought I have found I have few fears that are legitimate fears. Most of them are based on past experiences, or the way the world goes. So they are not irrational.

1. I fear something happening to my children. Rather it be something major or minor, I fear it. I hate the thought of my babies feeling pain. My mom used to tell me you never know what pain is until you have a child. When you make the choice to have a child you allow your heart to walk around the outside of your body. Well it is the utmost truth. When my kids cry my heart breaks. So the thought of my babies being hurt in anyway is a huge fear of mine.

2. I am afraid of being alone. I never have been one to be alone. I am okay with being by myself but I enjoy the company of my partner. And especially now that I have had my one great love, I am so afraid of it not being there anymore. My husband is the person who I laugh with and cry with. He came into my life out of the blue and he took my world by storm. He loved me just as I was and has NEVER tried to change me. He keeps me on my toes and loves me endlessly. So to lose that scares the hell out of me. I know I will never have that again. My one great love.

3. I am afraid that when I leave this earth I will have left nothing but my babies and my worldly possessions. I want to do something grand in this life. Don't get me wrong my kids are my greatest legacy I will ever have. But I want something that they can be proud of too. Something that shows the the people I love that I was more than just a mom, a wife , an grand daughter, a daughter, a sister and a friend. That I have these goals and these dreams and they did not just go to waste. I hope one day I will find a way to make them happen! First I just have to figure out what they are exactly and how to make them happen.

4. I am afraid of death. not my own but that of others. In all honesty. I hate to see people I love leave this earth. I am selfish in that manner. I know that they are onto something bigger and better. That they won't feel pain and heartache anymore, but I want them here. I miss my best friend, My stepdad, my baby. My heart aches at the thought of when my loved ones time comes. How I will handle it, How I will live this life without them. I know that life goes on, I know that the earth will not stop spinning. When I grieve, I grieve permanently. It has been 13 years since my best friend passed, 7 since my dad passed, 7 since my aunt passed  and 6 since my first angel baby. I still feel each one as if it where yesterday. I know they are in better places but I miss them more each day.

So these are my fears. I will be back again tomorrow with Day Number 7 of this 30 day challenge! Remember to go check out the creator of this challenge!

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 5

Day 5 of the 30 day blog challenge. My proudest Moment.

So these are getting better by the day. This one is super easy. I do not have just one proud moment. I have several. But I can narrow it down to a select few! These are not in any order because well I cant give a number or rank to any one. They are all equally important to me.

The moment I finally said I Do to my best friend. The person whom I laugh with, who I cry with and who I build a life with. My soul mate and the person who just makes me want to be better. There are days I wanna smother him. But instead I go make pancakes because I can not imagine my life without him. He really is an amazing person. He works hard, and is an honest man. I never thought that I was ever going to have a man like this. you know that saying that one day someone will come into your life and love you the right way that all the broken pieces will no longer matter. That is this love. Being his wife is just the best.

The Days That I met all of my children. I was brimming with pride when I met each of our kids. I was told I may not have kids. I have PCOS and as a lot of women know infertility is an effect of that. So as I watched all of my friends get pregnant and have babies before me my heart broke. But I had faith in God and even after I got pregnant and had a miscarriage, I prayed and I prayed hard. I begged and I pleaded that when he found the right time to make me a mommy. No matter what rather it be a baby of my own flesh and blood or not. He has heard my prayers and he has made me a mommy in so many ways. From the first baby that made me a mom and he called home to my newest little man. He made me an angel mom, a mom and a bonus mom. I am so grateful and blessed beyond measure!

30 day blog challenge: Day 4

Day 4 of my 30 day blog challenge
What is your dream Job?

Well I am not sure how to answer this. Realistically my dream job is to be a stay at home mom. Raise my babies, Cook and clean and I even want to home school. Yea.... Believe it or not that is actually what I want to do. I think that is why this whole social distancing thing is not phasing me as much.

But if we are talking a job that pays...Honestly I do not know. I know I want to eventually go back to school to get a degree in Marketing and maybe an associates in Business.  I am not sure what I want to do though.

After doing some research on the fly I have found the top three I have considered. All are marketing Jobs. Kind of what I do now. with my blog. unfortunately a lot of places do not go based on no degree. So I will need one of those.

1. Marketing Director or Coordinator
2. Media Planner
3. Event Marketing Specialist

However right now this is all just talks. I have gone and dropped out of college three times. This would take a lot of self discovery and some talk with my husband. So we shall so see what happens.

But this question of the day now has me searching online about a degree in marketing.

So we shall see...

30 Day Blog Challenge : Day 3

Day three: 20 Facts about me

I could go on for days about random facts... However I would like to make this challenge meaningful...My goal here is to list facts that are more unique. So here we go

1. I am Old Fashioned but I am also a modern day domesticated working mom. I Can cook, I can Clean, I can sew, somewhat crochet and I can rear children. But I can also work. I am not against working and helping to bring home the bacon!

2. I am a half assed nerd. I love almost all things nerdy and my choices in Fandom range from Disney ( Clearly) to DC and Marvel! However I like what I like and I can probably give you 101 facts about those likes but if you ask me about something in a said fandom that I dont actively follow... I may not be able to tell you much about that.

3. I am a collector. Not a hoarder but a collector of specific things. Such as pop figures. Crochet things, Plants, pictures. if I enjoy it I collect it.

4. I love homemade things and heirloom items. I am a crafter. So is my grandma, great aunt and my mother in law! So I love home made items. I think that something someone puts effort into is priceless. Someone who took the time to make me something is someone wonderful. I would much rather home made over store bought any day. As far as heir loom items that is something else to treasure. A lot of people take that stuff for granted. I have my own baby blankets from when I was young, and recently when I had a our baby I got a lot of hand made items. Blankets, Beanies and even some heirloom items. I got some items that where made by my great great grandmother. That was very special.

5. If I do not write it down in at least 6 places I will forget it. Even then someone will still have to remind me. I am very forgetful. I do not do it purposely but I do. But I have the memory of an Elephant (somewhat). I can remember somethings from before I was walking, and I could give you details of things that happened twenty years ago, however if it is a doctors appointment FORGET IT!

6. I am selfish. Well sometimes. When I want something I will get it, however when I need to buy new jeans, I will not do that.

7. I am addicted to photos.  I love to collect them especially of the ones I love. I do not believe in throwing out pictures. In fact recently I did part with some photos of, but they where of my ex. It was the final thing I had of that person and I just do not need it. That is my past.

8. I am not an optimist, nor a pessimist. I am a realist. I like to think I am a optimist. I am not.

9. I get angry way to easy. I am not abusive, but I am a yeller. This stems from my anxiety and my need to control.

10. Yep I am a controller. Again this is an anxiety thing. If I can not control it, my anxiety spirals.

11. my taste in music is so wide.... I am not talking about I like country and rock. Today I was listening to my spotify playlist and it went from Thomas Rhett, To Five Finger Death Punch, and then to Lincoln Brewster. That is Country, Metal, to christian. It extends beyond that to. I also enjoy 90s and 2000s rap and hip hop.

12. I do not have expensive taste, Except when it comes to Coach. Coach is my weakness. If I could buy a new coach purse at least once a month I would be in heaven... But I can not do that because I am broke white folk! But I still obtain them! I have my ways. Either I buy them used or they are gifted to me ( used of course). I have only ever had one brand new coach and that was the one my husband bought me for Christmas this last year. It was a star wars coach... I loved it!

13. I am Patriotic. Not just the cry at soldiers reuniting with their families patriotic. I am talking the kind of Patriotic where when the National Anthem is sung I cry. When a military member past or present passes I want to go to their funeral ( regardless of if I knew them or not). When I seen the Vietnam Wall I cried. I cried as though Vietnam directly affected me even though I was not born until 15 years after it ended. I grew up in a military family so patriotism is in my blood. When we are at an event where service members are being recognized I watch my husband (OIF and OEF) and grandfather ( Vietnam)  stand up in pride of their service and my heart explodes with pride. I am talking the kind of pride like the first time you hold your baby in your arms kind of pride.

14. I am a God fearin christian. I am also a sinner. I love God, I have faith in him and his plan for me. But I also know with some of my choices I stand a high chance at hell. I am not going to go into this to much in depth, but my choices are between me and God.

15. I am not a huge fan or re watching a lot of movies. There are very few movies I will watch more than once, and even at that there has to be some significant space in time before I will watch those specific ones again.

16. I am a half assed sports fan. I like football, baseball, hockey and racing.... I have my teams and I somewhat track them through the season. Yet I do not like watching many games at home. I do however enjoy watching games in person.

17. I really want to go back to college and get a degree in business. But I refuse to go back until I can pay for classes out of my own pocket. I just finished paying off my school loans from the first three times I dropped out of college. So it may be a while. Maybe one day!

18. I am a procrastinator. I am literally staring at two days worth of dishes because I do not want to get off my lazy ass and do them....

19. If you have not gathered this.... I swear... I try not to but I figure since this 30 day challenge is going to ask real questions about me I might as be as real as I am.

20. I am hopelessly addicted to coffee. I used to take pills ( yep I have had an addiction history) and I used to smoke... mmhmm did that too... and I used to drink more than I should... I have been "sober" from pills for 10 years now. I gave up smoking in 2013. and now when I drink I max out at like 5 or 6 ( and when I do drink that it is like once every 2 or 3 years ) otherwise I drink like maybe 2. So coffee is my vice. It doesn't do much for keeping me awake. I more drink it because I enjoy drinking it!

So there it is. 20 real fact about me... if you want to start this challenge check out Cha at https://littlemisadvencha.com/ and read hers from day one!

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 2

Day Two : Quote you live by. In my case quotes. I have two that I have lived by, but they play hand in hand with one another!

The first one is The three C's of life.

                                Choices ✨Chances ✨Changes

The first time I heard this one was from my mom. I do not remember what was being discussed exactly but we where at work when she said it.

The second quote is one by Joseph Campbell. The first time I heard this was on Pretty Little Liars. It was a quote Ezra had read to his class. It rang so true on many levels for me. I had big dreams when I was younger. I was going to join the Army. Then my Senior year of high school that all promptly changed when I broke my leg and ankle. All of my plans went right out the window. I sank into a depression. Then I got into a car accident which broke my hand and slightly fractured my hip. I started taking pain killers and well.... that lead to a me I never want to see again...  Bringing me back to the three C's of life. I made a choice to stop using Narcotic Pain Killers. To this day I do not touch them. I refuse to see that side of me. That choice to make a change led to me meeting the love of my life. I have four great kids and a loving hard working husband because I made choices to change.

Then the biggest choice of my life would come in 2017. We made the choice to move from Arizona to Idaho. This was the most nerve racking fear of my life. I was so dependent on my family and here I am engaged to my love, with our 18 month old son making a choice to move away from everything I was ever comfortable with. This is where I should say when I was pregnant with our son I was diagnosed with Anxiety. Anxiety which I had likely been living with my whole life, and I just thought I was being dramatic ( because I had always been told I was over dramatic). So for those of you who know what living with Anxiety is like, fear pretty much rules your life... yea.... so this is a huge defining moment in my life where the three C's really take control. If it where not for constantly repeating the three C's to myself I do not think I would have made this move.

So these are the two Quotes I live by!

30 day Blog Challenge : Day 1

So I am a little late to this game because the month of April is already over. So Today at 00:02 Blog Challenge Day 1 begins!

But before I start I want to take time to give credit to a fellow Blogger who started all this. Cha! You can check out her blog out here

Okay Day 1: My Blog Name

It originally started as Lady Stitches Glitches, however it has recently been changing into something else. Earlier yesterday (4.12.2020) I pulled the trigger and made a slight change to the name itself. I wanted something that stuck to the original one I had but fit the blog better and did not possibly interfere copyrights. So today I unveil Lady Stitch's Reviews.

So the main way Lady Stitch came about is because Stitch is my road name. For those of you who are not familiar with what a road name is, it is a nickname bestowed upon one person by a fellow biker. However it is not just any nickname like your mama gave you. It is one that great impact or is meaningful. Rather it be a character trait or the reminder of an event.

Mine was given to me by one of my dearest and closest friends Mama Bear.  These photos where taken the day I was named Stitch. There was a ride our club was about to take from Phoenix AZ to Tuscon AZ. The picture on the left I started with 5 patches that day. My breast patches, The flag, my sisters keeper patch and two support ribbons. ( one for PCOS and one for miscarriage). By the end of the day I left with an Autism Ribbon &  a breast cancer awareness ribbon. In addition to those two I also left with a ribbon to represent Heart attack, Stroke and Brain Aneurysm. Mama bear just laughed at my enthusiasm to have to get a few more patches on my cut. But it was not until we where sitting outside of a gas station on our way back up to phoenix that she decided that was it. Stitch. I gleamed with pride because It was mine and it was individual to just me. Not only that but I thought it suited my personality perfectly and well it did not hurt that I loved Disney's Stitch! So it stuck. From then on out I was Stitch! over time I have added an actual stitch(626) patch to the back of my cut and a few others too!

But that is not where my blogs name story ends. About six months later I started blogging. I was a stay at home mom ( again after returning to work for a brief period of time) and I was starting to go stir crazy. So my Life Long bestie introduced me to Review blogging. Right away I was hooked but I needed a name that would stick. I wanted some anonymity to not only shield myself but my family. So I rolled with my road name and added Lady and Glitches to it! However it evolved into Working Through Life's Glitches. That happened right around the time my family made the big choice to move to North Idaho. My then, Fiance, was about to make an 1800 mile journey back home to Idaho and our son and I would join him at a later date. So we where learning to make the best of life when it "glitched" so to speak.

More recently though I have been looking or something simpler. I have been noticing while promoting my blog that typing working.through.lifes.glitches or ladystitchesglitches was both to long and it was straying away from purpose of my blog.
So in an attempt to simplify my life Lady Stitch's Reviews or even shorter Stitch's Reviews has come to be. It still sticks to my original and unique name but is slightly shorter and easier when promoting!

So this is where I am going to end Day One. I hope you enjoyed reading about my blogs name journey!

Get Snappin

Get Snappin with Snap Tiles. A magnetic Photo that doesn't go on your fridge. How about that? It is about the size of an 8"x8" canvas photo but it is made of paperboard. It is lightweight and makes photo arrangements so easy!

I love how easy it is to just change up arrangements on a whim! I often get bored with the arrangements of my photos but because I do not like to put holes in my wall with nails I do not often like to rearrange my photos! However Snap tiles is changing the game with how you decorate your home!

The best part of this is the light weight nature of these photos. The fact that they are light weight make it so that you can hang multiple photos on one anchor! The anchor has a few neat features to ensure you get your anchor straight. First the built in level. Normally you need a lever to make sure you are getting it right...Especially if you are like me and OCD. The second great feature of the anchor are the 4 command strips on the back. You will use these to stick your level to the wall. This helps it stay in place while you are either placing screws or nails. This made hanging the anchor the easiest placement I have ever done! Last is the curved ledge so that you can easily slide your base tile on! This was such a breeze! You simply remove the punch out section on the back of the base tile and slide it right onto the anchor!!

The last step you have is to snap your tiles right onto where you want them! All four sides of each tile has a magnet in them so you can have whatever arrangement you would like! This arrangement was one that I had played with but the very first one is the one that I settled on!

The best part is that these awesome tiles are so affordable. Normally things like this cost at least twenty dollars per photo, but right now 4 tiles and 1 anchor ( per 12 tiles) is $49.00 and each additional tile is $9.00!

So why don't you get started with your snap tile order? also you can add color edges if you choose to! click here to get started.

pamper yourself!

Pampering yourself is so important in the different types of self care! But Pampering can get a little pricey.... So today we are going to talk the effective yet low cost ways you Pamper yourself without breaking the bank.

Pampering is not just changing your outfit or taking a long hot shower or bath. It is the act of treating yourself to something that is outside of your normal day to day.

So today lets start with the money end of it and then we will get to the  free ways you can pamper yourself. I love to shop, but I am cheap. I usually hit the thrift stores and even then more often then not I am cheap there too.

Have an at home spa day. There are days I just need this so I will have my husband wrangle the kids and I will go put on a face mask, Soak my feet, give myself a manicure.
I love to make a simple three ingredient face scrub.

DIY Face Scrub
Honey
Brown sugar
Cane Sugar (  I add in cane sugar because i love the texture it has )
You can also substitute the Cane Sugar for Fine ground pink Himalayan sea salt.

This one is going to be shorter than the rest because Pampering yourself is really self explanatory!

Sometimes no matter what your situation is you need to put You above all everything else in order to be able to care for others. You can not pour from an empty cup!

Keababies Wrap and Diaper Backpack

About Two weeks ago I received Some Keababies products and I am proud to say that I am a Keababies Mom! From the outstanding a resilient fabric on the Trendy Black Baby Wrap to the Durable Water Resistant Oxford Fabric on the Diaper Backpack I am hooked!! I have only positive things to say about both products. I love the comfortable feel of the materials and of course the color. ( black goes with everything). But both of these products deserve more than just a description of the material and color! Lets dive right in with the Sling!

First off lets talk the uses of a baby wrap. This wrap can be used as a wrap, a postpartum belt,  a nursing cover, and even a swaddle. What about the benefits of baby wearing? I am not just talking about how it helps promote breast milk production but the others. Such as when you are wearing your baby it helps to promote less crying ( which is great if you have a colicky baby like I do). Baby is also more likely to fall asleep sooner and faster when curled up against your chest. You have to remember the first sounds your baby heard is your heart beat so this is most likely the most comforting sound to baby. It also helps to promote social and emotional developments!

Also lets talk about how it frees up your hands? As a working mom - like so many others- I did not have the luxury of taking maternity leave. So I took one week off after having baby and then returned to work. Thankfully I am blessed to work for a company that allows me to have my baby at work. However I still need to well...work! Being as that I am the GM for the company it is important I get my work for the day accomplished! Wearing baby frees my hands so I have the ability to help customers, clean and iron clothes! Wearing baby also allows me to cook with ease, and still be a hands on mom with our 4 year old! The only time I refuse to wear baby is if I am going to cook with things like grease that could potentially harm baby.

It is made of durable fabric that does not stretch out after using it. it is breathable too! So neither you or baby will get hot. You can machine wash and tumble dry low. DO NOT DRY CLEAN IT!!
The best part about this wrap is that it is literally half the price of other wraps. Having had the ability to compare it to the Moby wrap I genuinely love the KeaBabies wrap!

Now lets get down to the best diaper bag EVER!! I wanna start with the pockets on this thing! The main pocket is HUGE!! In this pocket I am able to put my laptop 15" laptop inside, a small can of formula, my wrap, and a swaddle blanket all with room left over!
Inside there are three large pockets. Inside of these three pockets I am able to fit the following items

  • One complete outfit (Size 7) for my 4 year old.
    • This outfit includes Jeans, a T-shirt, Underwear and socks.
  • Two onsies and two pairs of socks for the baby
  • One package of wipes & one package of clorox wipes
  • One full size container of Lotion (8.5 oz)
  • One Full Size Diaper Rash Cream ( 4 oz)
  • One container of Sanitizing Spray ( 2 oz)
  • the changing mat  ( 25" x 14")
and after all of this there is tons of space left! That I fill with you know actual Diapers! I love this bag simply because It makes it so I do not have to carry another bag as a purse! and to boot there are four more pockets outside. On the very front there is a pocket containing three spaces for bottles ( they are insulated as well!). there is a small space for a bib or smaller Items. On the front of the bottle pocket there is another zipper pocket. This is where I put my wallet.  Also there is a pocket in the back for things like your passport ( if you are traveling)  and such! It has a back zipper to get to it easily so you dont have to pull everything in the bag out! On the sides you will find one tissue pocket and one pocket for something like a bottle of water!

So that changing mat, have you ever used one of the changing tables in a public place  and notice where there is supposed to be something to cover the plastic or metal table with is empty? Yea me too. That is why I have always carried changing mat. The changing Mat that comes included with the bag is made from that same durable oxford material that the bag is! The silver side of it is made for easy wipe down in the event of messy diaper changes, because we know they are unavoidable!

Overall I really love this bag! From the amount of large and small pockets, to the zipper and the two way carry ( it has handles and straps). The straps for the back pack portion are padded so they are super comfy!  On a scale of 1 to 10 this deserves a 15! I am absolutely in love with it! I have certainly made it my own and just like the wrap as a working mom this makes my life a million times easier! I love the large capacity size of it as well. When you have multiple little ones you often times find yourself as a pack mule. It is much better to have it all in one spot instead of carrying multiple bags!

You can find both of these amazing products on the KeaBabies Website as well as on Amazon. There is no reason that you should hesitate on purchasing these items! Just do it!

Hello Bello

So in the chaos and panic of todays world things like Diapers and wipes seem to be flying off of shelves and no one can seem to keep them stocked up fast enough. No worries though Hello Bello has you covered! They can bundle and ship them right to your door! No need to even leave the house! A diaper subscription is exactly what you need because lets face it, you do not want to go into public with your baby anyways! Heaven knows I don't!

Hello Bello has so much more than just diapers and wipes though too! Everything from hand sanitizer to Laundry Detergent! The best part is it is all Plant based! So this means not only is it good for you and baby but it is good for the planet too! Now this is where you are thinking that it has to cost a fortune if it is good and healthy, nope not at all! Kirsten Bell and Dax Shepard wanted parents to be able to provide the best for their little ones and themselves without having to spend their kids college funds! So by partnering their company with Walmart they have the ability to offer things at low cost!

So lets dive right in and talk about the products I have had the opportunity to review! I will start with the Diapers and Wipes. Being as that we just had a baby ( DJ) we are back on diaper duty! I am super picky about diapers. He doesn't have a sensitivity to them or anything, but I have high standards. With XJ we used a different big name brand diaper. After doing the math there is about a 6¢ difference between The other name brand and Hello Bello! now this 6¢ is a lot when you really get to adding it up! So what we save on buying diapers we are able to apply elsewhere such as Diaper Cream, Lotion and so on! So more diapers and less money! They also keep my little man quite happy he sleeps just as well as he would if it where another big brand of diapers, they dont leak, and they have that handy color changing line to let you know by sight when they are wet or poopy!  They also Have a huge variety of patterns to choose from! I know it sounds ridiculous to be excited over what pattern is on my sons Diaper but as he gets older he may like to choose what is on them! I know XJ did!

The wipes are primarily water, There is no alcohol in them or artificial fragrances, so this makes them perfect for our little ones bottom, and even for when we use them on our older son. Keep in mind our older son has eczema so we need to be super careful about what we use on his skin! They are hypoallergenic, they are made of biodegradable materials, and they are tough enough to get the job done, so we use way less wipes.

The diaper rash cream is thick but spreads easily and does not stick to your fingers. I absolutely refuse to use one of those diaper rash cream spatulas. I think it is one more thing for me to have to carry around.in the diaper rash cream you will find easy to read ingredients, such as sunflower seed oil and Shea butter. it doesn't have lanolin or petroleum jelly, and you guessed it, it is organic!

The hand sanatizer is a favorite of mine. I love the fact that it is in a spray bottle versus a squeeze bottle. One Spray and you rub your hands together and you are good to go. Also it has natural fragrances in it so it doesn't smell like pure alcohol! instead it smells like apple blossom! It comes in a two ounce bottle, so it can travel on the plane if you are flying! Heaven knows we used it quite a bit on our recent trip to Arizona.  I bring it as well as my clorox wipes every where. I am an essential employee so I still have to work, having hand sanatizer helps me to keep the cooties at bay.

Now I wanna change gears here to bath time. I love bubble baths and I really loved them as a kid. Since XJ has eczema we cant use a lot of soaps. even if it just for bubbles. So when we tried this one we loved it because it did not have a negative reaction on his skin.  So now bath time is even more fun! It has a light airy scent of lavender, and it foams up so much, so a little really goes a long way! Now this kid who was not to fond of baths beforehand is begging for them!

What about after bath time, You need lotion right? Now we have found we can not use this on XJ. He says it burns his skin. This is not uncommon with him even Aveeno burns his skin. But DJ does not seem to have any complaints. With Lavender Scents and aloe in it it leaves his skin ( and mine) soft and smooth! Last night was the first bath he has had without screaming bloody murder and the lotion made it that much better!!

So why don't you head over to Hello Bello's Website and check out all of the great products they have to offer and get your order started!!

A Happy Baby is a Happy Mama!

It is true! A happy baby means a happy mama! As a new mom again I am finding my second son is a lot more challenging than my first. I am not sure if it is the old tale of your first does not prepare you for your second, or if it is the fact that I am five years older than I was when I had XJ.

DJ sleeps but is up every three hours, where as XJ slept through the night almost from night number one. DJ is for the most part a happy baby, however he is a lot harder to please. So when he is as happy as a clam so am I! Happy baby helps us in that department!

Once again all of these products are Organic, Have double Helix water in the products and are free of

            • PARABENS
            • SULFATES
            • PHTHALATES
            • PETROLATUM
            • ARTIFICIAL DYES.
Starting with Hands and Heinies, This is a cleansing Spray. It has the smallest amount of cleanser and its great for cleaning sticky hands and dirty butts. Spray a lot or a little and wipe clean! Its a fantastic cleaner and a diaper bag must have! the bottle has a sprayer head, however it has a small locking mechanism on it so that it doesn't spray while not being used! Like the rest of the Martine Products it has little no smell! Great for sensitive skin like mine and my boys.

Baby Balm and Happy Baby Butter. The balm has the consistency of lip balm, I recommend that this be used for smaller dry patches of skin or Diaper Rash. the Baby Butter should be used for all over moisturizing! Both of which will accomplish the job of keeping your babies skin soft and smooth!

Happy Mommy Tummy Butter. This is best designed for helping with stretch marks but even postpartum I use it. My skin gets really itchy after I have a baby and usually stays that way for a few weeks. This stuff is great for helping to keep your skin super Hydrated and keep your skin way healthy!

Martine Pure and Simple

Double Helix meets your Night time and day time routine for Face Skin Care!

As a lot of you know I enjoy using more natural products. I have skin that is more on the sensitive side so I have to be careful about what products I use. So what is better than products that have water, beeswax and some oils. What I love most about these Skin Care products I can read what every ingredient is. No surprises with them!

I have the age defying package and while I regularly use exfoliating scrubs and cleansers, I am new to Hydrating Mists and Nightime and Day Time creams. This is a 3 to 4 step system. I used them in this order

1. Exfoliating Elixir - This is both a sugar and Salt Scrub. Now I have used each one individually, but never together. I was not dissapointed! It gets all the excess crud off my face and leaves it nice and soft  It does not burn my skin, However I will recommend that if you have recently waxed, or had your eye brows threaded to avoid use because if you have any open skin it may burn because of the salt.

2 Face cleansing Elixir - this is going to be your soap. It is organic, Light and subtle scent no perfumes. It did not leave my skin red and in pain. It lathers up nicely, which I enjoy, and rinses off so easily.

3. Hydrating mist - you do not need to go through the entire routine to use the mist. you can also use it for a pick me up refresher! It has rose oil in it so it is light and airy. I might add while it feels great on the face it also uplifts the mood.

4. The night time or day time age defying cream. They are the same product with the difference being the day time cream is a lighter version of the night time cream. I do enjoy the heaviness of the night time cream. This is something I will likely use both day and night and save the Day time cream for the summer months. It does have all natural ingredients, as well as lavender and rose oil but I do not smell it so it has to be rather small amounts of it

Overall it this routine has left my skin soft and healthy. I have found it does not get to oily or to dry. It give mes an added glow that I did not see before.

You can get the Age Defying package directly through the company or  through Amazon.
